This vineyard is 48 acres and is positioned in the mountains of Napa facing westward. The vineyard consistently produces wines of unusual intensity and concentration. The property, which is currently planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is located on the eastern ridge of Napa Valley at the foot of Atlas Peak near Soda Canyon.
Fruit from this area get great structure from its position on the hillside structure and intensely rich flavor from its position on the valley floor. Western exposure provides plenty of afternoon sun for the 2,000 vines planted per acre in low fertility soil. This density and fight for nutrients results in flavor intense fruit. Broken Rock is owned by elite vineyard designer & operator and is consistently found in the Wine Spectator Top 100 year over year.
